INTRODUCTION

Start your campaign early. Many campaign activities must be completed before the election. Gather a trusted team of supporters: spouse or significant other, family, friends, neighbors, community group, whoever you can rely upon to assist with brainstorming, developing strategy, assisting with campaign tasks, and providing emotional support.

GET OUT THERE!

“Get Out There!” means get started campaigning as soon as possible and immediately engage with the electorate in your community. The two main purposes of your campaign are marketing yourself as a candidate and motivating voters to vote for you. You need to become highly visible to potential voters and you need to convey your position on the political issues important to your voters.

POLITICAL STRATEGY
